I always think of the Faroe Islands as being to Iceland what New Zealand is to Australia.
I was just reading stuff in Faroese and was slightly disturbed to find that I understood 99% of it.

I'm sick again, for the 750-billionth time this year. I was feeling pretty pale and queasy all weekend; today I am sweating, shivering, 38.4 fever, worshipping-the-porcelain-god sick.
Being sick all the time is insanely time-consuming. It's also becoming very expensive.
All I want is just to get well and STAY well!

Apparently, the vast majority of women wear the wrong bra-size. Typically they wear the cup-size too small and the band too big, or vice-versa. I decided to measure to see whether this is true for me.

Today a friend and I went to Kolaportið and found some svartfugl (auk in English?) eggs for sale at 160kr each. They were very beautiful, large, conical, and ranging in colour from white to deep blue-green.
